Melody Harvey is a Ph.D. candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy researcher at RAND Corporation. Her research focuses on effects of social and consumer policies on economically vulnerable populations in the United States. Within the context of ACCI, her research interests span financial services and consumer education.

Harvey is currently developing empirical models to analyze the impact of a permanent supportive housing program on service utilization and county departments' net cost expenditures, and contemplating potential research questions pertaining to Dodd-Frank and consumer financial protections. Her dissertation examines the effects of high school financial education mandates on financial behaviors commonly employed among economically vulnerable young adults.
